OPIsystems Inc. is searching for an Intermediate Accountant to join our team The Intermediate Accountant will be responsible for timely and accurate Financial Statement preparation and analysis This position will contribute to the efficient and effective workings of the finance department by executing daily tasks with a strong attention to detail

Responsibilities

• Ensure accurate and timely month close and financial reporting
• Accountability for the full-cycle accounting process Monthly posting and reconciliation of the general ledgers within the companies financial ERP Monthly reconciliation of intercompany accounts with U.S.A-affiliated entities Posting bank adjustments to the general ledger for all entities Monthly reconciliation and adjustment for a manufacturing environment including Inventory COGS and deferred revenueMonthly state sales tax analysis and preparation of remittance report Reconcile and review the profit and loss statements for the entire companyand by each department Overseeand provide guidance to other accounting functions AP AR Payroll Taxation Support accurate semi-annual reportingand operational readiness All monthly accountabilities Assistthe production team with preparing inventory count sheetsand supporting documentation All semi-annual accountabilities; Year-end account reconciliations including foreign exchange adjustments for foreign currency accounts Capital asset depreciation analysisandsummary Ensurethe annual accounting cycleis reconciledand closedfor a CCPC Canadian Private CorporationSupport year-end reportings requirement related to company valuationand external stakeholders Provide timelyand accurate financial informationto supportbusiness decisions Respondto ad hoc queriesandexcess requestsfor accountinggeneral ledger,andfinancial information Supportfinancialanalysisbudgetingforecasting,andvarianceanalysisinitiatives as required(financial planningandleadership)
