    Job Summary:

    Reporting to the Resources Coordinator, the Voice Recognition Support Clerk will provide voice recognition support to all CCMB Physicians and other specific para-professions. The Voice Recognition Support Clerk will assist with the day-to-day department issues such as redirecting notes, printing correspondence bins in ARIA, etc. The incumbent will correct existing notes, facilitate training of new physicians, residents, RCA's, PA's, and students in Dragon Medical Office. The Voice Support Recognition Clerk will assist the Manager and Resources Coordinator to ensure Health Information Services operates in an organized, efficient and professional manner. The Voice Recognition Support Clerk must maintain patient confidentiality and privacy at all times according to CancerCare Manitoba's policy. The incumbent is required to participate in the accomplishment of organizational goals and departmental objectives as established by the department.

    Qualifications:

    Required:

  • Complete high school education, Manitoba standards
  • Successful completion of a recognized Medical Transcription training program
  • Successful completion of a medical terminology course
  • 2 years of experience as a medical transcriptionist, speech-to-text auditor, and/or relevant experience
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and electronic health records
  • Must hold a satisfactory employment record
  • Must be able to legally work in Canada
  • Will be assessed during the interview process

  • Demonstrates attention to detail, possess excellent communication and organizational skills, and enjoy working in a team environment
  • Proficiency in dictating/transcribing systems
  • Preferred:

  • Experience working in a healthcare setting
  • Experience working in a unionized setting
  • Experience working with Dragon Medical Office
  • Experience working with ARIA
  • Ability to speak French
