The Housekeeping Supervisor an essential role in the daily flow of hotel operations; keeping the entire property clean and orderly.

Responsible for overseeing the entire housekeeping team, the individual in this leadership position has an incredible work ethic and impeccable standards.

Leads by providing a consistent example of excellent service and ensures that all cleaning efforts are completed efficiently, with a great attention to detail and guest satisfaction.

This individual actively participates in inventory management, supply budgeting and the development of Housekeeping systems and procedures. In collaboration with other members of the Pearle Hotel management team, the Housekeeping Supervisor retains and develops new talent.

  • Successful applicant must be available to work on a rotation of shifts, including AM and PM_

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist all Housekeeping Attendants in the daily checking of guest rooms and designated staff areas, laundry areas and public areas maintaining standards by Hotel policy
  • Act as a mentor to all housekeeping staff: embody a great service culture and create a high level of standards and excellence.
  • Host housekeeping morning briefings in absence of Housekeeping Manager
  • Adapt a handson approach to the daily operation covering cleaning duties with the team as and when required.
  • Submit daily inspection and progress reports to Assistant Housekeeping Manager
  • Responsible for the training of new staff
  • Check and maintain adequate level of supplies and material and request replenishment of supplies as required. Assist with Monthly inventory
  • Work with Front Office and Maintenance Departments regarding the status of rooms ensuring that guest requirements are met according to Hotel policy
  • Ensure adherence to all Hotel policies (key safety, lost and found, health & safety)
  • Ensure the safe storage issue and effective use of cleaning materials and equipment as directed by manufactures on their Safety Data Sheets (SDS)
  • Attend meetings as requested and contribute new ideas to the overall success of the operation
  • Be familiar with appropriate action to be taken in the event of an emergency
  • Help to prepare work schedules to ensure all jobs are covered in assigned areas
  • Maintain positive relationships within the team unit as well as with those outside of it, work together with others toward the common goal of success across the property
  • Ensures the daily laundry operation is following process and procedures
  • Minimum of 12 years of hotel housekeeping supervisor experience required

From $24.00 per hour
