Front Desk Attendant
Home First Winnipeg is a non-profit organization that provides housing, meals and support services to individuals who have experienced chronic homelessness.

Position Summary:
This position will require the individual to attend to the front desk of a 47 unit supported living apartment complex.
All positions at Home First Winnipeg require respect for and knowledge in working with vulnerable people who face various barriers, such as struggles with addictions and mental health, and who may come from racially and ethnically diverse backgrounds.
The individual will have a basic understanding of trauma-informed care responses, be willing to learn skills in crisis intervention, and conflict resolution to strengthen problem solving and decision-making abilities under pressure.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Maintain an organized and welcoming front desk, office and common spaces, ensuring safety and cleanliness of equipment, furniture and work areas
- Assist in coordinating support to tenants
- Attend the front desk, checking in tenants and visitors
- Ensure clear communication with tenants and visitors and document any noteworthy situations
- Supervision of policies and house rules
- Daily walkabouts and safety checks in and around the building and grounds
- Respond to and solve minor tenant requests or complaints and document them
- Ensure confidentiality and protection of all tenant information.
- Some janitorial duties
- Other duties as assigned by the Front Desk Coordinator
Qualifications:
- Satisfactory Criminal Record Check and clear Adult Abuse Registry Check
- Strong organization, time management, and multitasking abilities
- Ability to work productively within a team setting and also independently
- Ability to work with limited direct daytoday supervision
- Administrative skills
- Clear written and oral communication skills
- Ability to be proactive in challenging situations
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Excel
Job Type:
Full-time and Part-time positions available. Mon-Sun. Days, evenings and overnight shifts available.
Salary - $15 hourly
