Tingley Harvest Center is currently seeking a Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our Vegreville location in Alberta.

Ability to commute/relocate:14426 Hyw 16 Service Road, Box 310, Vegreville, AB, T9C 1R3 Job Duties and Responsibilities Include:

• Diagnose and inspect equipment for faults and malfunctions.
• Repair and adjust equipment and replace defective parts
• Perform updates, pre-season delivery inspections, and pre-season inspections.
• Complete work orders and enter technician notes into a computer
• Must adhere to all Occupational Health and Safety standards, as the company is committed to the protection and wellness of its employees
• Must be able to provide service at the customers' site by driving a service truck to the customers' location

Qualifications

• Enrolled in the 421A Heavy duty Mechanic apprenticeship program with your Level 3
• Ability to perform basic repairs and required maintenance using special tools and equipment following Technical Manual procedures
• Proficient knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems used in the repair of heavy-duty and/or agricultural equipment
• Ability to operate vehicles and equipment used for diagnostic purposes
• Proficient oral and written communication skills
• Ability to lift at least 75 lbs. repeatedly
• High School Diploma or equivalent experience required
• A valid driver's license with a reasonable abstract is required
• Forklift license preferred
