Food and Beverage Manager._

We are looking for a committed and passionate individual to join our management team to run the day to day operations of our food and beverage operations, including, but not limited to, clubhouse, beverage station, halfway house and special events._

The Food and Beverage Manager is responsible for all food and beverage services for Twenty Valley. Directly supervises all food and beverage functions and staffing including hiring of service staff, kitchen staff, and on-course F&B staff._

Assists in the preparation of all menus and executes the annual budget._

The goal of our Food and Beverage Operations is to create and enhance our member and guest experience and your positive efforts as a staff member will contribute directly to achieving our goal._


Responsibilities:


  • Ensure that quality service is provided to our members and guests.
  • Assist with the preparation of the annual food and beverage budget and operating plan. Implements the plan according to operating policies and procedures to ensure profit goals are achieved as outlined.
  • Manage employment activities for applicable staff members, including but not limited to, personnel recruitment and selection, performance evaluations, training, compensation, discipline and termination, etc.
  • Plan and implement staffing schedules to ensure customer service standards are achieved with minimum employee cost.
  • Ensure maintenance of all appropriate sanitation standards including, but not limited to, employee hygiene and uniforms, kitchen food service equipment and preparation areas, food storage areas, receiving areas, washing areas, dining areas, patio, bar areas and oncourse facilities.
  • Establish and implement a cleaning and preventative maintenance program for appropriate fixtures, equipment, appliances and related equipment.
  • Responsible for the verification and correctness of inventories of food, beverage and other sundry items and reporting those inventories on a scheduled basis.
  • Implement and monitor the purchase and receiving program to maintain parstock levels on food and beverage inventories and ensure proper quantity and price on all purchases.
  • Monitor internal cost controls for the department. Ensure quality levels of food and beverage products and maintain standards in production, presentation, services, facilities, and guest satisfaction. Monitor activities to ensure profitability is maintained by minimizing costs and maximizing revenues.
  • Sell food and beverage services to potential outside clients/members, show facilities and assist in planning as needed. Develop promotional programs to improve dollars per round.
  • Ensure operations comply with all provincial rules and regulations, relating to food and beverage sanitation, alcohol and tobacco
  • Demonstrate organization and planning skills to ensure the success of the F & B operation and always working to improve operations
  • Maintain the functions of the POS system by ensuring menu and costing have been correctly input and the system is current. Inventory control including securing, counting and variance reporting.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as required

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Demonstrated experience and capability in the areas of Food and Beverage management, budget development and fiscal management, strategic planning, staff management.
  • Applicable functional, supervisory and/or management experience, preferably in the golf industry.
  • Ability to analyze and solve problems; efficiently handle multiple duties under pressure with mínimal supervision and a positive, professional attitude. Able and willing to work flexible hours as required including nights/weekends.
  • Knowledge with computer systems, word processing and spreadsheets
  • Demonstrated quality written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Good understanding of POS systems and operations
  • Have all required industry certificates such as Smart Serve and Food Handlers certificate or willing to obtain.

Preferred Experience:


  • 3 years hospitality experience
  • 2 years Management experience
