Applications are invited for the position of Human Resources Coordinator in the Human Resources Division, located at the Welland Campus.

This position is to cover a leave and approximate dates of the appointment are April 2023 through February 2024. The salary range is $62,160 to $77,699 for a 35 hour work week. Additional hours may be required as necessary.


Reporting to the Director, Human Resources, the HR Coordinator works closely with the HR Consultant in providing responsive and client focused HR services within their respective portfolio.

Working regularly within our PeopleSoft HRIS system, the HR Coordinator monitors part-time assignment contracts and ensures data integrity in managing employee records, as well as providing guidance and support to system users within the College.

Working collaboratively and cross functionally within the HR team, the HR Coordinator supports the administration of recruitment, onboarding, compensation and benefits, and employee leaves.


Qualifications:


  • Three (3) year diploma/degree in Business, Human Resources, or a related field of study
  • Minimum five (5) years related experience working in a large complex organization
  • CHRL designation considered an asset
  • Strong communication, analytical, and problem solving skills
  • Excellent organizational/time management skills with the ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines
  • Keen attention to detail thoroughness and accuracy of work in an interruptdriven environment
  • Demonstrated ability to confidently handle contentious matters with sensitivity and confidentiality
  • Effective ability to adapt and learn quickly, in an everchanging environment, keeping current with changing legislation, policies, and best practices
  • Familiarity with collective agreements and employment related legislation
