    Dufferin Aggregates, a divison of CRH Canada is looking to hire

    The main function of the Millwright is to maintain, repair and upgrade plant equipment as directed.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Install equipment as instructed

    • Maintain mechanical equipment in proper operating condition

    • Repair and troubleshoot equipment failures

    • Preventative maintenance inspections on assigned equipment and complete accurate reports

    • Removal and replacement of outdated and unused equipment as assigned

    • Report any deficiencies to the supervisor

    • Housekeeping duties as assigned

    • Any other duties as assigned

    Qualifications:

    • Millwright Apprenticeship in 2nd Year or greater

    • Industrial Millwright Mechanic Ontario Provincial License

    The Millwright must have to ability to perform the following functions:

    • Welding, cutting, brazing on various types of metal as assigned

    • Read blue prints and layout drawings

    • Machining (lathes, milling machines, grinders)

    • Inspect, troubleshoot and identify problems with pumps, blowers and compressors

    • Install, remove, troubleshoot and repair conveyor systems, aggregate crushers, vibrating screens, etc.

    • Bearing lubrication, application, removal and installation processes

    • Inspect, troubleshoot and identify problems with hydraulic/pneumatic systems

    • Identify, select and inspect proper rigging techniques

    • Inspect, troubleshoot and identify problems with gear drives

    • Alignment principles and tolerances

    • Work from service manuals and with OEM

    • Operate mobile equipment required to perform job

    • Good written/oral communication skills

    Working Conditions and Physical Demands:

    • Working outdoors and varied temperatures and weather conditions

    • Working indoors in varied conditions (ie. hot, noisy, dusty)

    • Working rotating shifts

    • Effortless mobility through all areas of the plant

    • Working in confined spaces

    • Working at heights

    • Physical abilities to perform duties

    Health and Safety:

    • Comply with OHSA and all of its applicable regulations

    • Personal Protective equipment as prescribed

    • Comply with CRH Canada safety rules, policies and procedures

    • Report all incidents and near misses

    • Report all safety hazards

    • Follow Lockout/Tag out procedures

    • Emergency response plan awareness
