Halifax, NS Manufacturing Experienced Full-time - Permanent


This role works as part of the Stores team, with a focus on co-ordination, as well as completion of, day-to-day stores activities.

This role requires someone who is willing and able to work under pressure, prioritise effectively and communicate in a calm manner, able to resolve conflict as well as conflicting priorities when they arise.


Responsibilities of the role include:
Create, kit and receive work orders;

Use of computer programs such as SYSPRO, Unipoint, Sysdata:
Receive product returned from customers, record required details and issue repair reports;
Create work orders, deliver modules to appropriate department for trouble shooting;
Place received goods into StockTrack material required for sales orders insuring all assemblies are ordered, built and tested to meet ship dates

Receipt of goods from suppliers and data entry related to this, placing received goods/Fab items into Stock; Process internal change requests and other documentation through Nautel systems;;
Generate Shortage Reports where necessary;
Provide window service to internal customers, as well as maintain stock levels;
Perform physical Stock counts according to cycle counting procedures and investigate discrepancies;
Make Spares Kits for transmitters as required;
Coordinate shipments to and from Bangor facility;
Requisition items as required;
Process non-conforming material including creation of non-conformance report;
Back-up for other roles


The co-ordination element of the role will include: ensuring vacation coverage, escalation of issues as required, documentation as required, use of internal systems/databases, co-ordination with other teams as required. Acts as the primary point of contact for the Stores team. Will provide input to annual appraisals and training/cross-training. This position is based at our facility in Hackett's Cove.
