THE ROLE


The Supervisor will support the Security Manager as well as members of our store organization across Canada and the United States.

This person will also work closely with the security directors and managers of the various regions, and with the teams of the various security departments.


WHAT YOU'LL DO

Team management: 35%

  • Supervise, organize, direct and manage work procedures of agents in the team ;
  • Implement and ensure compliance with policies, processes and standards in handling calls to the central monitoring station ;
  • Manage time and attendance, training and work organization of team members ;
  • Design central station schedules ;
  • Plan work processes and determine effective techniques or processes to be used by team members in the course of business.

Virtual operations support: 35%

  • Act as the resource person for team members and operators, in the event of problems, and take the necessary action ;
  • Protect company assets by observing employee and customer activities via surveillance cameras ;
  • Review video footage of conflicts between customers and internal control ;
  • Produce daily activity reports and note all relevant facts reported by Monitoring Agents ;
  • Actively participate in and advise on the resolution of level 2 loss prevention and security issues ;
  • Intervene remotely in the event of security risks, crises or events at our sites ;
  • Intervene and support Canadian and U.S. stores (take calls, manage alarms, produce support documents, liaise with suppliers and U.S. headquarters) ;
  • Communicate with local authorities and police forces in the event of an incident or event ;
  • Act as criminal intelligence officer with the various police forces and company security services.

Operations support: 15%

  • Identify issues and opportunities to improve safety and loss prevention processes;
  • Run awarenessraising sessions for operators;
  • Write prevention newsletters;
  • Draft routine reports and correspondence;
  • Update roles, procedures and regulations.

Security Management: 15%

  • Support the Central Security Manager and agents;
  • Support the Director, Investigators and Supervisor of the Security and Loss Prevention Department of the North American Units;
  • Develop fire prevention plans for our facilities;
  • Organize routine training on operations and equipment;
  • Participate in and implement team emergency plans as required.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED
We want you to join our team Here's what we're looking for:

Education

  • AEC in industrial and commercial security, DEC in police techniques or equivalent experience;
  • BSP license (mandatory) ;
  • Driver's license.

Experience:


  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in a similar position.

Software skills:


  • Access control systems (Kantech/Genetec) ;
  • Alarm, fire and intrusion systems (DSC/DMP/BOSCH/MKS/HW) ;
  • Digital recording, video and audio capture and CCTV (closed circuit) systems (Genetec/3xLogic/HikVision/i3DVR etc);
  • Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point ( Suite Office/M365) ;
  • Reporting software.

Knowledge and skills:


  • Ability to mobilize and manage a team;
  • Demonstrate good interpersonal skills, leadership and diplomacy;
  • Ability to manage several files simultaneously and demonstrate autonomy;
  • Analytical and problemsolving skills;
  • Ability to manage priorities and respond rapidly to emergencies;
  • Ability to reassure and secure stakeholders in crisis situations;
  • Customer service skills.

Language skills:


  • Bilingualism is mandatory (French and English) in both written and spoken languages, as the person will be required to serve Englishspeaking regions.
