- This role focuses on mutual fund investments offered in Canadian retail investment channels
- Maintain records and distribute research reports to key stakeholders
- Provide timely, insightful advice to advisors through in-person, email, and phone communications
- Create and publish high-value articles and newsletters
- Enrollment in or completion of the CFA, or equivalent knowledge and experience
- 2-4 years of investment research experience
- University undergraduate degree or equivalent
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency with Morningstar Direct, Advisor Workstation, Microsoft Word, Excel (VBA) and PowerPoint
- Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail
- Strong understanding of financial markets and investment concepts
- Ability to adapt quickly and function independently in an unstructured environment
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task and work well under pressure

What is the opportunity?
As a Mutual Fund Analyst, you will provide reporting, research and advice for mutual fund investments to RBC Dominion Securities and RBC Global Asset Management (GAM). The position adds value to the organization as follows: Contributes to the growth of the organization's reputation, assets under management and profitability through enhancing the quality of reporting and advice to our end clients.
You will contribute to the attraction, retention and sales effectiveness of our investment advisors through high quality research and exceptional service. You will serve as a valuable source of business intelligence on the mutual fund industry and have a high impact on the organization because of the size of mutual fund assets under care at the various business units served (more than $80 billion).
Please Note: This is a 2-year contract opportunity
