    Job Description:

    The Category & Shopper Insights Manager is accountable fordeveloping and embedding robust category strategies for mutual customer and Mars Wrigley benefit, that are routed in Consumer/Shopper Insights.This role is also responsible for executing the Perfect Store initiative designed to transform physical availability and drive profitable NSV growth by step changing the quantity and quality of our brand execution in store and online. The MW Digital Merchandiser reports into this role.

    What are we looking for?
    • University degree
    • Well versed in Category Management Tools & Data Sources
    • 5+ years' experience in blue chip CPG/Consumer products within Category functions.
    • Sales and/or Customer facing experience would be an asset.
    • Good interpersonal skills and proven ability to develop long term, effective and influential business relationships with key decision makers, internally & externally.
    • Ability to assess needs and propose mutually beneficial solutions.
    • Ability to navigate complex situations and challenge the status quo with a solution-based attitude.
    • Self-reliant, decisive, resilient and able to respond and adapt to a fast moving, dynamic environment.
    What will be your key responsibilities?

    Analytics & Insights:
    • Responsible for the management of and development of expertise in understanding and acting on market, customer and consumer data (AC Nielsen, Numerator, etc.)
    • Lead insights sharing on external factors & trends, as well as competitive intelligence with senior leaders and functions within the organization.
    • Lead/Supervise internal reporting on category and brand analytics.
    Category Vision & Strategy:
    • Embed MW Category Vision across the organization, giving a clear view on future drivers of category growth.
    • Lead the formation, deployment and execution of Mars Wrigley's physical availability (distribution) strategy, including aligning the business through the planning cycle.
    • Continuously evaluate opportunities as an input to the S&OP+ and business planning cycle processes, including the PMR, DMR, MBR and Collaborative Planning.
    Perfect Store Strategy & Execution:
    • Collaborate with the Global Perfect Store team in order to share/receive best practice and drive the long-term Mars Intelligent Perfect Store capability agenda.
    • Deploy the Perfect Store budget efficiently to maximize ROI and drive mutual achievement of objectives (Mars, Customer and Category).
    • Integrate with other Perfect Store enablers e.g. trade architecture, retail coverage model and sales force automation.
    • Responsible for planning and execution of the Perfect Digital Store. The Digital Merchandiser who directly leads the Perfect Digital Store initiative reports into this role.
    • Test physical availability initiatives and once proven, embed the learnings within the business.
    Customer Partnerships:
    • Develop and implement category principles with retailers that will lead to enhanced business results by delivering shopper & consumer value.
    • Build a reputation with key retailers of being a thought leader with foresight for the confectionery category.
