Purpose:

Due to continued exceptional growth in our business the time has come for us to add to our Human Resources staff.
At North Star, the Human Resources function is a multi-faceted business partner that supports the needs of the organization, its business strategy and its people.
We are looking to add a Human Resources Generalist that will assist in enhancing the service that we provide.Qualifications:
̈ Bachelor's degree in HR, business or related field
̈ Expertise in HR policies and procedures
̈ Strong knowledge in hiring practices
̈ Understanding of HR best practices and current regulations
̈ Sound judgment and problem-solving skills
̈ Experience with payroll processes
̈ Experience with health and safety practices, policies and regulations
̈ Customer-focused attitude, with a high level of professionalism and discretion
̈ Excellent communication skills, interpersonal skills, ethics and cultural awareness
̈ Excellent administrative and organizational skills
Job Functions:
̈ Provide service and advice on employee issues to supervisors and department managers in regard to performance management, orientation, employment legislation, communication and/or procedures, also to ensure that fairness is used to with both management and employee
̈ Respond to, investigate and report on a variety of management and employee concerns
̈ Answer employee questions and address employee concerns with the company; including employee safety concerns
̈ Provide support in implementing programs to help improve the employee experience, including identifying ways to improve policies and procedures
̈ Assist in the recruitment and onboarding of new employees, coordinating with cross-functional departments to deliver an exceptional first-day experience
̈ Maintain current company and health and safety polices and ensure they are compliant. Assist in developing initiatives to drive health and safety, including wellness programs
