Qualifications:

Physical Demands:

Standing for extended periods of time at food preparation tables.
Walking short distances and manoeuvring in tight spaces within kitchen and dining room environments.
Pulling/pushing/lifting dishracks, food carts, bulk food items, etc., up to 50lbs.
Reaching and lifting food items and kitchen tools from and to upper shelving up to 10lbs
Ability to complete repetitive arm motions while peeling, chopping, and preparing food items.
Memory work required to know dining room layout, table and section numbers and residents.
Dexterity required to open caps, pull spray triggers, open condiment packages, etc.

Functions:

Complete departmental cleaning and dishwashing as required.
Be knowledgeable of and practice residence's fire and safety programs.
Serve food to residents observing special diet restrictions, resident preferences and outlined departmental procedures.
Serve beverages to residents.
Clear tables, load and safely operate dishwasher. Complete manual ware washing as required. Set tables in the dining room.

Job Description:
Risk Management and General Safety

Practices safety procedures at all times including Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), fire safety procedures including extinguishers (as applicable), SDSs (Safety Data Sheets) and Lockout Tagout procedures.
Reports all accidents/incidents immediately.
Complies with all infection control techniques, placement of biohazard containers and removal techniques, procedures and policies.
Participates in Fire Safety and Mock Disaster procedures.
