Job Description:


The HSS Global IT department is looking for a passionate, inquisitive, detail oriented and highly customer focused Project Coordinator to join our growing team.

The Project Coordinator role will assist the project team with the operational support activities and new implementation projects.

As an integral part of the team, you will be working with the project manager to coordinate with key business leads and vendors on business requirements, enhancement opportunities and assist in the overall organizational change associated with the deployment of Workday.

This role is based in Mississauga, ON, and is a 6 month contract opportunity.

  • Assisting with project administration including budget maintenance, schedule control and change order administration
  • Documenting and following up on actions, risks, and issues with key stakeholders
  • Ensuring documentation is maintained throughout the length of the project
  • Assisting with maintaining change logs and training coordination
  • Managing and coordinating design, testing, review activities with multiple teams
  • Working closely with the Vendors, Project team, Business Process Owners, Business Analysts from other functions, and IT Management to ensure the project progresses along agreed timelines and meets the key business requirements and success criteria
  • Assisting the Project Manager with administrative functions and processes
  • Managing daytoday activities for the Project Management team
  • Analyzing project data and producing progress reports
  • Attending project planning meetings
  • Coordination with the vendors on critical deliverables
OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE.

  • 4+ years' experience as a Project Coordinator, on large and complex technology projects (focus on HR and Payroll systems in the Manufacturing & Distribution industry preferred)
  • Proven success in a corporate setting, working with all levels of management
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills and ability to present complex information clearly and concisely to different levels of the organization
  • Experienced with SDLC methodology run projects
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities; changing course and direction as needed
  • University degree is required
  • SharePoint experience is an asset
