Role Overview

Our Fabricators play an important role in the repair and fabrication of various machinery components, while actively collaborating with both Engineering and Maintenance teams.

This role requires membership in the Teamsters Union, Local 213.
Main Responsibilities

Conducting onthefly repairs both in the field and within the workshop
Performing upgrades on mobile equipment to enhance functionality and efficiency
Proficiently operating heavy machinery including a 100 ton press brake, 1⁄2" shear, and radial arm drill press
Utilizing oxy/acetylene burning table and a variety of arc/plasma welders and cutters

Compensation

Base Pay:

- $45.90 per hour
- $46.82 per hour effective July 1, 2024

Premiums:
Tool Premium $0.20 per hour

Hours of Work

Monday to Friday, 6:00am 2:30pm

What You'll Bring

BC Metal Fabricator Trade Qualification
Minimum of 5 years' related work experience in a heavy industrial environment that includes:
providing a high-quality standard of welding repairs and fabrication of heavy industrial machinery and equipment

- experience with cast iron and aluminum materials is considered a definite asset

A welding ticket will be considered an asset
Strong problemsolving skills, ability to recognize and assist in resolving issues
Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision
Effective verbal and written communication skills
High aptitude for quick learning
Ability to work in a fastpaced environment
Computer literacy and data entry skills
