Events Assistant Opportunity at MGCC
***The Mississaugua Golf and Country Club is one of Canada's top private all-season golf clubs, with a diverse membership of 1,400 members and an outstanding Tier One golf course famous for its excellence. The Club has played host to numerous premier events, including six Canadian Opens.

Founded in 1906, MG&CC is a year-round private club that offers golf, curling, Fitness and tennis, dining and social amenities.

Our Tudor Clubhouse is a spectacular venue for casual and fine dining, banquets, weddings and various social events and functions.

Role in a nutshell:

Assist the Event & Catering Specialist with Coordinating club and membersponsored events including weddings, tournament dinners, live entertainment dinner events, holiday parties, and special events
Innovate new event ideas, themes and formats and market them to our membership
Design creative communications, including; event marketing kits/packages, posters, signage, menus etc.
Assist onsite at the event and accommodate any reasonable lastminute requests
Perform administrative as requested by the Events & Catering Specialist
Work closely with the maintenance team, kitchen staff, food and beverage staff and other departments to plan and coordinate events
Assist in detailing and updating banquet event orders
Able to multitask and prioritize workload

What you bring to the team:

Minimum of one year experience in event coordination/customer service
Experience using Vision, Event Temple or Jonas as an asset
A genuine passion for organizing and executing events
Flexible availability including holidays, evenings and weekends
Events Management Certification would be an asset but not required
Creative approach to innovating new themes and special events
Extremely organized to make sure that no detail is left out
Love working with a team and sharing information with others
Selfmotivated with the ability to take initiative
Positive spirit with a "can do" attitude
Ability to adapt to a fastpaced environment

**NOTE: MG&CC is not on a bus route. You must have reliable transportation.
