Position: Heavy Duty Apprentice Mechanic

Location: Red Deer, AB

Sterling Crane is offering an exciting opportunity for a 3rd Year Apprentice Heavy Equipment Mechanic in our Red Deer, AB site. This is a full-time role (minimum 40 hours per week) with occasional overtime required.

Responsibilities:

• Troubleshooting, repairing, testing, and inspecting mobile and crawler hydraulic cranes, boom trucks, trailers, and light-duty vehicles using a top-notch PM program.
• Identifying parts needed for servicing and repairing equipment in Sterling Crane's fleet.
• Providing detailed repair notes in both paper and electronic work order formats.

Qualifications:

• 3rd Year Apprentice Heavy Duty Equipment Technician required.
• The ideal candidate should exhibit safe work practices, adhere to company policies, and thrive both independently and as part of a team.
• Previous experience with engine emission systems is a plus.
• Proficiency in electrical and hydraulic systems is essential.
• Must have own hand tools and a valid driver's license.
• Familiarity with FCC (Fleet Cost and Care) is advantageous.
• Must be in good standing with IUOE 955 or be willing to join the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 955.
