Educational Assistant in Senior Elementary (Grade 4 to 6)
The success applicant's hours will be Monday to Friday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. and will be reporting to our Main Campus location at 355 Michael Cowpland Drive in Kanata South.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Assist the lead teacher in implementing educational activities and lesson plans
• Provide oneonone support to students with special needs
• Support students in their academic and social development
• Assist with classroom management and behavior management strategies
• Prepare materials and resources for instructional activities
• Monitor student progress and provide feedback to the lead educator
• Collaborate with other educational assistants and staff members

Qualifications:

• Experience working with children, preferably in an educational setting
• Knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices with knowledge and understanding of Montessori an asset
• Ability to effectively communicate with students, parents, and staff members
• Ability to adapt to the needs of students with special education requirements

All successful applicants are required to have a current Police Vulnerable Sector Check and valid Standard First Aid & CPR C/AED certification prior to employment.

Salary and benefits will commensurate with experience.
