The Project Coordinator assists the project delivery team in overall planning and scheduling, optimizing resource allocation, project accounting and control, document management and filing, handling change of scope, inventory control, procurement, and ensuring compliance with quality standards, throughout the total project from inception to completion.


KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILTIES:


  • Provide support and coordination in the planning & development phases of the project lifecycle, from postacquisition to start of construction.
  • Participate in the materials/finishes selections and design coordination for the project(s).
  • Communicate effectively with the consultants responsible for completing various phases of the project if required by project managers.
  • Work closely with project delivery team to coordinate the efforts of all parties involved with the project, including the architects, consultants, contractors, and subcontractors.
  • Ensure that project documents are complete, well organized, and filed properly.
  • Manage multiple assignments simultaneously and complete deliverables in timely manner.
  • Any other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Community college diploma or equivalent training in construction related field
  • Problem solving and conflict management skills.
  • Effective interpersonal skills.
  • Good client coordination and goodwill building ability.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to plan and organize.
  • Effective time management and logical decisionmaking ability.
  • Capacity to remain cool and effective under pressure.
  • Knowledge of, and experience with industry regulations and safety standards.
  • Software proficiencies related to the assignment
  • MS Office, Project, Outlook; Autocad; etc.
