- Lead the Food Store team in a manner that demonstrates day-to-day behaviors that align with and strengthen the Co-operative's vision, mission, values, and brand.
- Responsible for the overall operations of the Food Store Departments in accordance with the company policies, procedures, programs, merchandising standards, and overall expectations.
- Responsible for providing strategic direction to Food Store Team Leaders and Members to ensure safe, effective operations and processes.
- Perform team performance reviews and action plans for development.
- Manage inventory levels and lead scheduled inventory procedures.
- Maintain confidentiality regarding pricing, financial and marketing strategies.
- Work collaboratively with the General Manager and Department Managers to determine current and future capabilities required for effective execution of merchandising, marketing, talent development, and driving sales.
- Provide leadership and direction in the development and achievement of operational and financial results including sales, margins, expense, inventory and SPEH for your department.
- Other duties as assigned.
- You have a Grade 12 education.
- Have 3-5 years management experience (retail management and grocery experience is an asset).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and the ability to manage computer files efficiently.
- Effective interpersonal, leadership and communications skills.
