    Description

    The JuniorProject Manager will support one or more Project Managers or Portfolio Leads in managing activities across various projects. The role involves day‑to‑day coordination, administration, analysis, project documentation, and collaboration with technical and business stakeholders.

    Key Responsibilities


    Project Coordination & Administration

    • Support one or more Project Managers or Portfolio Leads in the management of activities on various projects.
    • Perform day‑to‑day project coordination and administration activities such as tracking, reporting, and facilitating resolution of issues and risks.
    • Follow up on action items and take meeting minutes.
    • Work collaboratively with other groups to ensure optimal integration as required.
    • Assist in the creation of project artefacts, including scorecard updates and status reports, and provide input to management reports.
    • Assist project managers with day‑to‑day tasks.
    • Complete work and achieve milestones within assigned deadlines.
    • Skills and experience with meeting facilitation, meeting minute creation, action item tracking & follow‑ups.
    • Skills and experience building and maintaining detailed schedules in MS Project, ensuring activities are tracked to completion.
    • Skills and experience working independently and with both the business and technology teams.

    Analysis & Reporting

    • Perform analysis using tools such as Excel.
    • Skills and experience gathering data, performing analysis, and building reports to support decision‑making on project scope, schedule, and cost data.
    • Skills and experience reviewing and ensuring submitted documentation is complete and accurate.
    • Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills.

    Communication & Stakeholder Engagement

    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Skills and experience creating and maintaining project management artefacts such as risk, issue & action logs, briefing notes, status reports, presentations, project communications, and meeting minutes.
    • Professional interpersonal skills to collaborate with a wide variety of technical and business stakeholders.
    • Exceptional facilitation, negotiation, and consultative skills.

    Technical Skills

    • High level of proficiency in MS Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
    • Experience with Radio technology projects.

    Experience Requirements

    • 3 to 5 years of skills and experience in IT & IT project management.

    Assignment Details


    Travel Requirement


    The resource will be required to travel to multiple dispatch centres/CACCs across the province to provide project support and to coordinate and remediate telephony and radio equipment in order to implement the PSRN solution.

    Expenditures/reimbursements for travel will follow the Travel, Meal and Hospitality Expenses Directive.
