WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING


The Capital Specialist will lead the research, development and the making of prudential capital policy including the drafting, interpretation, and communication of Guidelines and Advisories applicable to Canadian federally regulated life insurers.


The Capital Specialist employs his expertise on life insurance products and markets, and the financial risks faced by life insurers to provide his/her/they opinion to OSFI management and the Executive on emerging risks, complex insurance transactions, and other technical life insurance related matters that have an impact on capital standards.


As a key life insurance contact in the Capital and Liquidity Standards Division, the Capital Specialist promotes a better understanding of capital standards with internal and external stakeholders.

The Capital Specialist also contributes to knowledge transfer within the Capital and Liquidity Standards Division and OSFI through structured learning events and informal cross-training.

Lieu:


Le BSIF souhaite offrir de la flexibilité à son personnel et créer un milieu de travail productif, stimulant, collaboratif, inclusif et propice au bien-être.

À ce titre, il met à l'essai un modèle de travail hybride (combinaison de télétravail et de travail au bureau) qui permettra de définir ses nouvelles normes sur l'utilisation des espaces de travail communs et d'établir de nouveaux modes de collaboration.

Ce modèle sera ajusté à la lumière des leçons retenues.


Le bureau d'attache de la personne retenue est situé à Ottawa, mais elle pourrait être autorisée à travailler au bureau d'Ottawa, de Toronto, ou de Montréal.


En raison de la nature du travail et des exigences opérationnelles, ce poste exige une présence physique (travail au bureau) à partir de l'un des bureaux suivants du BSIF au Canada : Ottawa, Toronto, ou Montréal.

L'option du télétravail à temps partiel est offerte conformément à la _Ligne directrice sur le télétravail_ du BSIF. Les régimes de télétravail sont établis au cas par cas en fonction de la nature du travail qu'exige le poste, des besoins opérationnels et organisationnels ainsi que des préférences de travail de la personne
