We are seeking a dynamic, highly motivated
Client Care Worker who demonstrates our values of compassion, accountability, responsiveness and empowerment to our clients, families and each other.


The
Client Care Worker will be working in the Supportive Housing Program a residential service supporting 10 adults living with a dual diagnosis.

This position is a
unionized,
permanent, part-time position. The rate of pay is $19.94 per hour.
This is a weekend overnight position, 7:00 pm - 7:00 am (Saturday & Sunday).
**Key Responsibilities: - Provide support to individuals with complex needs in a residential setting

  • Offer crisis intervention as appropriate; using safety plans, care plans, emergency intervention and on call as appropriate.
  • Assist clients as needed with activities of daily living (laundry, meal preparation etc.).
  • Monitoring clients to ensure they remain safe and stable
  • Cleaning of the program common areas, and any preparation that can be completed to assist in the following shifts
  • Accompanying clients to appointments (medical, dental etc.) and helping advocate for their needs
  • Documentation of client spending, medication, and daily activities
  • Assist with recreation programming and helping clients build life skills
  • Team meeting attendance, communication and shift change documentation
  • Interact with clients in a dignified and professional manner, following a clientcentred approach.

What you will bring:


  • Postsecondary degree/diploma in Social Services, or relevant other field required.
  • Concurrent Disorders, Mental Health and Disability Management or equivalent certificate is an asset
  • Minimum of 6 months to 1 year of experience, effectively working with dual diagnosis or similar marginalized populations and a demonstrated ability to form rapport with target populations preferably in residential setting.
  • Experience providing clientcentered services within a multidisciplinary team of providers.
  • Current CPR/First Aid, NVCI, and Vulnerable Sector Police Check required
