    The Opportunity

    We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our North America HUB in Varennes, Quebec, Canada.

    This role offers a unique chance to learn the end-to-end engineering design process and support our manufacturing plant.

    You'll gain deep experience in various engineering aspects, including custom versus standardized design, value-based design, product cost optimization, and more.

    Throughout your journey, you'll receive continuous professional support through career development programs and mentoring.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Perform material strength calculations for high-power transformers using finite element analysis.
    • Complete reports on transformer performance under environmental loads.
    • Dimension welded and bolted connections for transformer accessories.
    • Support new transformer design projects by the mechanical engineering team.
    • Assist production with mechanical effort queries for transformer subcomponents.
    • Work on optimization projects concerning material strength.
    • Support the industrial engineering department in designing tools for manufacturing high-power transformers.

    Your Background

    • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
    • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
    • Proficiency in CAD environments (PTC Creo, SolidWorks, etc.).
    • Experience with finite element analysis (ANSYS).
    • Experience in the design and fabrication of welded mechanical elements.
    • Bilingual (French and English).
    • Demonstrated skills: Agile, results-oriented, team player, creative, and autonomous.
