The Position:
We are looking for an experienced digital print operator to manage and produce daily production.
Duties and Expectations:
- Review work order and proofs to determine job specifications
- Managing RIP software / Preflight, prepare and impose art files for digital printing
- Operate highvolume printers, plotters and other finishing machines
- Setup, operate and monitor printing machines during print run and make adjustment
- Coordinate with supervisor to produce and prioritize jobs, and when necessary reorganize to meet deadline changes and updates
- Troubleshoot print problems and resolve issues in collaboration with the print production supervisor
- Monitor quality of job output throughout the process to ensure correctness and image quality. Continually inspect jobs coming off equipment for completeness, accuracy and defects
- Monitor inventory in work area to ensure it is adequate and can meet production requirements for each job. Report any issues with inventory to the print production supervisor
- Comfortable operating other machines or willing to learn
- Clean and maintain machines
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions
- Demonstrate excellence in organization and time management
- Can perform multiple tasks efficiently to achieve deadlines
- Knowledge of different paper stocks and materials
- Computer proficient in PC platform
- Previous experience in print industry considered an asset
- Previous experience in RIP software, preparing files and imposing
- High attention to detail
- Ability to distinguish between colours

The position is full time and on-site.

Salary:
$18.00-$20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
