Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Responding to employee inquiries
  • Processing personal information changes
  • Preparing letters of employment
  • Validating and processing Declaration of Offences & Criminal Record Searches
  • Preparing end of contract letters
  • Assist the team in drafting Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) for various processes
  • Printing and Scanning documents
  • Supporting the Compensation & Benefits team with a variety of activities including researching, benchmarking surveys and summarizing documents
  • Scanning and digitization of HR related documents including job evaluation files and uploading to online system
  • Maintaining confidentiality with sensitive material
  • Providing administrative support as required.

Skills and Qualifications:


  • Currently enrolled in a postsecondary coop program: Business Administration or Human Resources programs are preferred
  • Experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint), experience with Outlook is an asset
  • Excellent attention to detail and followup are required
  • Demonstrated planning and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize
  • Ability to recognize and maintain confidentiality
  • Effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills and strong customer service orientation are essential
