Preston Phipps is looking for an important new member of our team in the role of Inside Technical Sales Support that has all these qualities.

This position is office based at our Central Canada office in Mississauga, ON.

Responsibilities:

Supporting the outside sales team to manage communications with suppliers and other departments within Preston Phipps.
Utilizing price books, configurators, and suppliers to price equipment
Working with suppliers to provide technical documents, product selection and equipment costing.
Do some product selections based on given performance parameters.
Creating cost sheets for review before quoting.
Preparing small quotes to large project proposals for customers.
Processing purchase orders.
Preparing and issuing shop drawings as needed.
Tracking orders and updating outside sales with status and next steps.
Coordinating delivery on special orders.
Managing returns and supporting service for warranty investigations.
Work with software P21 (ERP system) for order entry, and tracking.
Work with CRM to track communications with customers.

Qualifications:

Mechanical Technologist or Mechanical Engineer
Experience on a technical support and/or customer service type team.
Proficient with MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, and ERP
Be selfmotivated to get the job done and support the customer.
Team oriented with strong relationship building skills.
Knowledge of mechanical and HVAC systems.
Creative problemsolving and conflict management skills.
Strong problemsolving skills.
Solid communication (both verbal and written).
