Weekend Maintenance

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain cleanliness and appearance of common areas (general cleaning, vacuum carpet areas, removing spots and stains)
  • Minor maintenance operations to mechanical, plumbing and building equipment.
  • Pick up garbage/recycling and transports to designated areas.
  • Adheres to established facility policies and procedures, including safety rules and safe working practices.
  • Observes all fire safety, and health regulations.
  • Receives supplies and stores in designated areas.
  • Furniture set up if needed.
  • Complete all other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Working knowledge with chillers and boilers.
  • Ability to selfregulate and work independently.
  • Must be capable of performing necessary physical duties including the movement of heavy objects.
  • Knowledge and training in plumbing and HVAC.
  • Knowledge of Health and Safety.
  • Current (within 6 months) Vulnerable Position/Sector Screening (VPS).

Salary:
From $19.93 per hour


Flexible Language Requirement:

  • French not required

Schedule:

  • On call
  • Weekends as needed

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • North York, ON M6L 3C1: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Education:


  • Secondary School (preferred)

Experience:


  • Maintenance: 1 year (preferred)
