We have an opening for a General Manager
- in our Toronto Head Office.
Reporting directly to the President, the G.M has a key leadership role. Responsible for overseeing all aspects of a well-established agriculture, nutrient, manufacturing, and distribution company.
This position requires a strong background in agricultural fertilizer sales, operations, and customer service to ensure the continued growth and success of our business.
This position is in Toronto serving the following areas:Canada, USA, Mexico, and several international countries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement a strategic vision and business plan for the group. Participate in long range planning decisions, with P/L responsibilities.
- Team Management: Manage a team of internal staff, sales, and field service professionals, to achieve the set objectives.
- Customer Service: Provide and ensure exceptional customer service through product knowledge, problem resolution, with a commitment to growth.
- Relationship Building: Cultivate and maintain relationships with key raw material suppliers, manufacturers, and industry partners.
- Inventory and Procurement: Oversee inventory management, including procurement, pricing, and product availability to meet market trends and demands.
- Sales Management: Assist the sales team to achieve their revenue targets, managing the sales processes, and fostering strong customer relationships.
- Oversee business operations.
Qualifications:
- An agricultural degree will serve as a minimum requirement.
- A postgraduate management qualification (MBA or Advance Management Program) an advantage.
- Exceptional customer service with excellent communication skills.
- Proficiency in budgeting and financial management.
- Strong problemsolving and decisionmaking abilities.
- Knowledge of regulatory standards in the agriculture field.
- Excellent knowledge of agriculture brands and market trends.
- Proven experience in agriculture sales.
Experience
- Ten (10) or more years of Agriculture management experience, involving the management of people and processes.
- Proven experience with Profit and Loss responsibilities
- Selfstarter with the ability to assess an opportunity and maximize results.
- Proactive: able to anticipate challenges/issues and provide solutions
- Maintain a high level of responsibility, accountability, and professionalism.
- A quick learner who adapts well to changes.

Salary:
$43.67-$72.54 per hour
Expected hours:
No less than 40 per week
