    JOB SUMMARY

    Under the supervision of the Project Engineer, the Port Infrastructure Project Engineer plays a key role in the management, planning, and execution of maintenance and construction projects related to port infrastructure. The incumbent actively contributes to the long-term sustainability of terminal assets by coordinating interventions with internal and external stakeholders at every stage of a project, from design to implementation.

    MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Coordinate and supervise multidisciplinary civil engineering projects, from design through execution
    • Ensure the planning, monitoring, and delivery of projects within established budgets, timelines, and quality standards
    • Work closely with internal clients to assess needs, propose viable technical solutions, and align intervention priorities
    • Prepare tender documents, analyze bids, and participate in the selection of consultants and contractors
    • Prepare or oversee technical drawings, cost estimates, and technical validations of the work
    • Coordinate on-site work, including mobilization, progress monitoring, quality control, and management of unforeseen issues
    • Contribute to the development and updating of the infrastructure maintenance strategy and asset management program
    • Produce required technical and administrative reports for project monitoring and tracking
    • Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety standards (CNESST/ASP) and current environmental regulations
    • Perform any other related duties.

    REQUIREMENTS

    • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a related field
    • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in managing multidisciplinary construction or infrastructure projects
    • Proficiency in MS Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and MS Project
    • Valid Class 5 driver's license
    • Valid ASP Construction card
    • Being a member in good standing of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ) or working towards it is a significant asset
    • Fluency in French is required; however, advanced English is also essential due to the global nature of the company and the need to interact with clients and international partners, as well as to support or collaborate with English-speaking colleagues and stakeholders
