Overview
We are seeking a seasoned QA Manager, with some development skills and ideally 15+ years of experience.
You are very familiar with test case automation using nightwatch, js framework, writing test cases in node js or equivalent experience in selenium/web driver automation using java, java script, Python, C#, Ruby.
Besides the technical skills listed below, the individual must be passionate about technology, wanting to make a difference and be dedicated to quality.
Proven ability to solve technical problems is also an asset. A big part of the job is to work on testing software on specific automatic retail (vending) hardware. You know how to inspire, coach, motivate a QA team.This is a challenging full-time position in a quick, paced environment based in Mississauga, Ontario. Responsibilities and Duties
- Creates and/or executes test strategies and detailed test plans for simple to complex test assignments
- Writes and execute programs, or utilize testing tools for creating, editing and retrieving test data
- Coordinates test efforts on moderate to complex testing projects
- Estimates time requirements for assigned QA efforts
- Makes recommendations regarding testing workflow or QA system improvements
- Ensures software solutions meet user requirements and technical specifications for all assigned projects
- Assists in execution of manual and automated functional, regression and performance tests
- Designs and write automation test scripts
- Review or writes release notes for completed test assignments
- Works collaboratively on group and team projects with offshore staff as required
- Provides support for internal and external customers when required, acts as second level support
- Skilled and experienced at managing a team
Qualifications and Skills:
- testing frameworks: Jasmine, Mocha, QUnit
- PHP (CodeIgniter)
- PostgreSQL
- Strong communication and problemsolving skills
- Strong in programming test scripts
- Good English verbal, written and communication skills
- Experience with Javascript MVC frameworks (JavascriptMVC, CanJS, AngularJS)
- Mobile testing/development experience (iOS, Android, Windows Phone)
- Based on experience and qualifications
Salary:
$69,184.00-$76,350.00 per year
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Mississauga, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
Experience:
- quality assurance: 10 years (preferred)
