Job Summary
What is the opportunity?
This position completes the reconciliation and control functions for Derivative Products within the Fund Accounting Support Team. The person would also be responsible for providing timely investigations and updates within stated deadlines.
What will you do?
- Perform daily reconciliation of a variety of Derivatives products including Forwards, Futures, Options, Swaps and Structured Products
- Escalate breaks to the appropriate parties as per procedure
- Assess Net Asset Value and Market Value calculations for Derivative products being reconciled
- Monitor and maintain group inbox for internal and external queries
- Verify terms and details of Derivatives products including Forwards, Futures, Options and Swaps
- Generate derivative reports for the Fund Accounting and Custody Reporting groups
- Participate in adhoc projects and initiatives as required
- Ensure compliance to Client's Trust Agreements and relevant disclosure documents as it relates to service delivery and adherence to industry regulations and guidelines.
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
- Minimum 1 year Derivatives experience including experience with yearend processes, audit, transitions and mergers.
- Strong understanding of how to calculate MTM for all open positions for Derivative products
- Understanding the performance of a portfolio and ability to decompose the P&L
- Investment accounting experience
- Flexibility to meet scheduled shift work
Nice-to-have
- Securities experience
- Enrolment in CGA/CMA/CFA or other recognized accredited program
- Successful completion of the CSC
- Working knowledge of GAAP
