The RSC (Retail Support Centre) Receiver is responsible for carrying out the full range of duties of the position in a professional, responsible, accurate and timely fashion.

The Warehouse Receiver delivers the highest level of customer service and satisfaction. The Warehouse Receiver demonstrates excellent teamwork, interpersonal skills, and commitment to the success of the Thrifty Foods team. Actively contributes to a positive and productive working environment.


Here's where you'll be focusing:


  • Demonstrate thorough knowledge and understanding of applicable company policies / procedures
  • Operate equipment correctly and performs duties in a safety conscious manner. Responds promptly and effectively to any safety or operational equipment problems
  • Is consistently dependable, conscientious, and punctual
  • Keep current on products, codes and warehouse layout
  • Ensure that products are handled, organized and stored to minimize damage and spoilage
  • Ensure purchase orders are accurate and legible
  • Schedule inbound shipments based on priorities, due dates and volumes, as directed by the Inventory Control Foreman
  • Print a Lumbar Report, for each Purchase Order, as each shipment arrives at the deck
  • Unload all inbound products and checks off the goods received versus ordered, completes a Pallet Label and attaches it to each skid
  • Scan the bar code on the inbound goods, confirm total quantity of each item on PO, adjust any quantity discrepancies or damaged/unsaleable items and closes the PO
  • Forward all paperwork to the Office Clerk for entry if the goods are not scanned the Receiver forwards
  • Complete all bill of lading promptly and accurately, including discrepancies/damaged goods and obtains a signature from the driver confirming same. Forwards completed documents to the appropriate personnel
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment as per company requirements
  • Other duties as required

  • Two person lift required for weights exceeding 50 lbs

  • Alertness to other people and vehicles
  • Various shifts including evenings and weekends
