Job Description:

We are seeking a Project Manager - Industrial Automation to join our growing team.

The Project Manager acts as the primary point of contact for all project-related inquiries and is responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of special CapEx and large-scale automation projects, within budget and in accordance with specifications.

The Project Manager defines the project requirements and scope, acquires project resources, and reports project progress to stakeholders and senior management throughout the project's lifecycle.


  • Manage the entire lifecycle of special CapEx or largescale automation projects.
  • Manage project activities throughout the lifecycle, including the allocation of adequate resources, scheduling, documentation, budget, and other factors necessary for success.
  • Plan all project timelines, milestones, deliverables, and microdeliverables using the appropriate software tools and/or PM methods.
  • Vendor/subcontractor sourcing, development, management and evaluation.
  • Conduct stakeholder meetings and forums in order to solicit feedback, input, and expectations; incorporate these into project plans.
  • Risk management for the project and contract administration knowledge as well as updating the various stage gates of the projects
  • Conduct project reviews upon project completion in order to identify areas for improvement; make recommendations based on findings
  • Maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating effectively with contractors, coworkers, suppliers, and supervisors.
  • Perform other job duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications:


  • Postsecondary education in Mechanical, Industrial or Automation Engineering or a related discipline.
  • PMP Designation is an asset.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in managing large scale projects within a manufacturing environment, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Must have manufacturing equipment design experience
  • Automation and PLC programming knowledge. SCADA and troubleshooting is an asset
  • Should be able to support development for automated systems/ robotic system
  • Good understanding of electrical and hydraulics systems
  • Must be able to work independently (100% on site work)
  • Ability to develop, read, analyze and interpret technical procedures, specifications, governmental regulations, drawings, and job specifications.
  • Highly effective negotiation, diplomatic, and conflict resolutions skills.
  • Ability to speak effectively with and present to project stakeholders.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Able to build and maintain lasting relationships with business units, corporate departments, key managers, and other stakeholders.
  • Flexibility to adjust to shifting priorities and deadlines.
