- Arranging freight and overseeing the efficient scheduling of merchandise and other assignments
- Initiating sales calls to prospective clients, customers, and vendors
- Managing accounts, clients, and customer inquiries/needs on a daily basis ensuring the highest quality of service is provided
- Generating and identifying leads and performing follow-up to create a steady pipeline of business
- Engaging current clientele throughout the year and building relationships based on reliability
- Developing, establishing and maintaining marketing strategies to meet organizational objectives
- Creating effective sales strategies to aid in achieving targets
- Minimum 2 years' experience within the trucking or transportation industry
- Proven experience in sales; lead generation, strategy development, and driving results
- Strong customer service skills, including the ability to communicate well with customers and clients via both verbal and written strategies
- Ability to work efficiently within a team environment
- Ability to maintain deadlines and solve problems under pressure
- Receptive to changing environments and circumstances
- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs
- Knowledge of AXON software is an asset.
