Description

A well-established pharmacy in downtown Ottawa is looking for a part-time staff pharmacist and expected to be able to perform the following duties:

Check the accuracy of processed prescriptions before dispensing them.
Counsel patients on how to take their medications and address any health-related concerns.
Communicate with healthcare professionals to help find the best therapeutic option for their patients.
Familiar with dispensing methadone and Kadian (ODT).
Prescribe minor ailment prescriptions after proper assessment.
Administer seasonal Flu shots and Covid vaccines if any.
Supervise pharmacist assistants on site to ensure accuracy and to maintain an excellent level of customer service.
Guide customers on choosing the best possible OTC products after proper assessment.
Experience with the operating system (Filware) is a plus.
