Description

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic Marketing and Communications Coordinator to play a pivotal role in enhancing our online presence and community engagement.

Under the leadership of the CEO & Managing Directors, the Marketing and Communications Coordinator will coordinate the communications output within our family of companies.

They will be tasked with developing comprehensive internal and external marketing and communications timelines.

Furthermore, they will be responsible for executing the delivery of the communications plan and production of marketing and communications materials.


This individual will take charge of managing all aspects of the social media platforms, planning and executing company events, and promoting the services we have to offer.

The Marketing and Communications Coordinator will play a vital role in ensuring the success and effectiveness of these initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:


Social Media & Digital Management

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive social media strategy to increase brand awareness, engagement, and followers.
  • Create and curate highquality content, including posts, images, videos, and infographics, that resonate with our target audience. While monitoring and responding to comments and messages on social media platforms promptly and professionally.
  • Analyze social media/digital data and metrics to track performance and make datadriven recommendations for improvement.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and emerging platforms to ensure that the company remains innovative and competitive.

Event Coordination:
Plan, coordinate, and execute a variety of events, including vendor events, internal company events, fundraising initiatives


  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including vendors, sponsors, and volunteers, to ensure successful event execution.
  • Develop event budgets, timelines, and project plans to ensure efficient resource allocation.
  • Evaluate the success of events and make recommendations for improvement based on feedback and key performance indicators.

Content Creation:
Write compelling and persuasive content for event invitations, newsletters, flyers, press releases, and website updates


  • Researching, writing, and editing marketing material, press releases, and creating social media marketing campaigns around various projects, initiatives, and operational needs.
  • Manage and update the company's website to ensure content accuracy.
  • Identifying opportunities for positive and proactive media coverage and facilitating content research, execution, and release of information to targeted audiences.
  • Other related duties may be assigned.

Qualifications:


  • Bachelors Degree or College Diploma in marketing, communications, public relations or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years' professional experience in marketing, public relations, or media relations.
  • Strong writing and editing skills with an ability to create engaging content.
  • Proficiency in social media platforms and social media management tools.
  • Experience in digital marketing and social media strategies.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills.
  • Creative thinking and the ability to generate innovative ideas.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Knowledge in the Social Service Sector is an asset
  • Must have a valid driver's license and vehicle.

Hours of Work:
Monday - Friday with ability to work evenings and weekends as required for events.

The primary goal of the Marketing & Communications Coordinator is to contribute to the development and execution of effective marketing programs that enhance our reputation and facilitate business growth.

Salary:
$50,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
