Key Responsibilities

  • Hydraulic analysis of pumping systems and pipelines
  • Engineering design of dewatering plants and pumping stations
  • Technical specification of mechanical equipment and piping materials (pumps, piping, valves, etc.)
  • Report writing and presentations
  • Availability for field visits on an occasional basis
  • Work in coordination with the different Hatch offices in Canada and worldwide
  • Estimating and costing
Qualifications And Experience

  • Bachelor oin mechanical or civil engineering from an accredited University
  • 1 to 2 years of experience
  • Knowledge and interest to develop your career in the following fields: Tailings and slurries, pumping, piping, hydraulic pressure conveying, gravity hydraulic conveying, dewatering equipment, filters and conveyor belts
  • Analytical and engineering problem solving skills
  • Willing to work on a temporary schedule in different time zones
  • Ability to work efficiently as a member of a team or independently
  • Ability to manage multiple simultaneous tasks
  • Bilingual (French and English) oral and written, ability to write technical documents in both languages. Knowledge of Spanish is an asset.
  • Asset: Multidisciplinary work experience (process, piping, mechanical, hydraulic, civil, electrical, automation)
