Job Description:


In accordance with established procedures, policies and available tools, the incumbent responsible for the Voice Specialist position is to drive revenue by working in conjunction with Customers and Account Managers, in developing and designing technical solutions to meet Cogeco Voice customer needs.

Focus is on design, pricing and presentation of solutions incorporating the Cogeco Voice portfolio and other services.

The role requires a mixture of business/sales ability and technical skills as the successful individual must be able to deal with high level engagements with customers, sales staff and detailed engagements with internal engineering resources and cross functional teams.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for achieving and exceeding sales revenue targets on both an overall and incremental basis for Voice services.
  • Responsible for working with Account Executives to identify new acquisition, cross sell, up sell and retention opportunities for Voice services across their team.
  • Responsible for maintaining and managing their own funnel within Salesforce and other required data tracking requirements.
  • Interfaces with the customers in conjunction with Account Executives on all technical issues related to product strategies.
  • Makes customer presentations on products and solutions in conjunction with Account Executives.
  • Responsible for understanding, listing and consolidating the engineering and service requirements of commercial customers for Voice services among the different cross functional departments.
  • Responsible for the development of SOWs (statement of Work) and other technical documents related to product sale.
  • Responsible for the training and portover of HPBX service as per the SOW design.
  • Represents customers telecommunications needs internally to ensure and achieve fulfillment of a telecommunications sales order as represented by commercial sales.
  • Responsible for the technical integrity of the Telecommunications product /service solution being provided to customer.
  • Follow policies, processes and procedures with other departments such as Network Operations, Systems, Fibre Construction and Planning, Field Implementation, HFC engineering for aggregation of requirements, costs for integration, implementation and maintenance of the network solution.
  • Working closely with the sales/marketing and engineering teams to ensure continuous feedback on customer's utilization of Cogeco's telecommunication products.
  • Assist on the preparation of BC's, coordinate capacity upgrades with other groups, coordinate upgrade configurations, implementation and manage all aspects of PRE/POST sales and support for commercial business.
  • As part of his/her function, incumbent must take all necessary measures to ensure their health and safety at work and that of employees under their responsibility, while seeing to the protection of the general public. They must make sure employees under their responsibility comply with all Health & Safety instructions, guidelines, policies and procedures.
  • To support Cogeco's ultimate goal of providing excellent service to current and potential customers, the incumbent must be constantly attentive and responsive to both external and internal customers' needs and assist in the resolution of any issues or concerns in a timely and professional manner while ensuring that the solution meets the customer's needs.

  • ACADEMIC TRAINING:
  • College Diploma or combination of equivalent education and experience
  • WORK EXPERIENCE:
  • Minimum 5 years of experience which includes communications protocols, Video, Voice, convergence technology and data networking products.
  • Experience in Excel with business cases and project management

SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES:

  • Indepth technical knowledge HPBX systems and other Voice Solutions including SIP & PRI.
  • Knowledge of Internet
  • Knowledge of convergence technology including voiceover IP networks, voiceover IP premise hardware and associated voice mail platforms.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, facilitation, and conflict resolution skills within a culturally diverse multilocation work environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to compile and prepare data into logical reports, briefings, and recommendations for internal and external use.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Experienced in effectively coordinating and planning multiple projects, executing multiple tasks simultaneously and efficiently while working with conflicting priorities in a fastpaced environment.
