    Overview

    Principal RF Subsystem Engineer

    We are currently searching for a Principal RF Subsystem Engineer to act as a system level advisor to the Antenna Engineering Manager at Antcom and the Chief Engineer, Defense at NovAtel Inc. This position is for a term of 12 months and is paid on an hourly basis. The average hours are expected to be less than 10 hours per week.

Our work touches every aspect of life, from sustainability on Earth to enabling autonomy. Within the Autonomy & Positioning division, your work will contribute to the operation of our brand Antcom.

    The Location: Hexagon is a global company with locations around the world. This position is based in Calgary, AB, but may require occasional travel to Torrance, California.

    Responsibilities

    As Principal RF Subsystem Engineer , when assigned to assist the Antenna Engineering Manager at Antcom, you will:

  • Review system requirements and provide technical oversight of the resulting LNA and Antenna design approach
  • Participate in LNA and Antenna design reviews
  • Advise the project team on risks identification and reduction
  • As Principal RF Subsystem Engineer , when assigned to assist the Chief Engineer, Defense at NovAtel, you will:

  • Complete some knowledge transfer from the Senior Antijam Engineer prior to his leave
  • Review the RF design in the context of the system requirements
  • Help diagnose system level performance issues
  • Qualifications

    Must-Have:

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering; MSEE preferred
  • A minimum of 20 years of related work experience including RF system analysis and detailed design
  • Experience designing anti-jam and GNSS receiver products
