DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Edits patient menus for accuracy according to diet plan.
  • Updates CBORD with patient's admissions, transfers, discharges, diet changes and nutritional changes.
  • Collects and records required nutritional data form various sources i.e. chart, staff, patient, etc.
  • Performs nutritional screening on patients as assigned by Dietitian.
  • Visits patients to provide nutritional education and followup care.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must have an undergraduate degree or diploma in Food and Nutrition, preferable with clinical nutritional experience.
  • Must be a member of Canadian Society of Nutrition Management.
  • Must have working knowledge of computers (CBORD).
  • Must be able to work alternate weekends.
  • Minimum 1 year experience as a Nutrition Technician.
  • Excellent attendance record.
