Reporting to the Director, Information & Communications Technology (ICT) Operations, the incumbent will be an integral member of the ICT team and will provide administrative support to both the Director, ICT Operations as well as the Director, Digital Transformation & Analytics.

This is a key position within the ICT team.

The Administrative Assistant serves as a liaison to the ICT management team as well as members of the executive leadership team, organizing and coordinating team and organizational wide efforts.

Working in a team-based environment that is mission-driven, results-focused, and customer oriented, the incumbent will support projects such as the building of the new South Niagara Site from conception to completion, in addition to performing a variety of administrative tasks.

This role will have responsibilities for coordination of activities such as scheduling, presentation creation and preparation, minute taking, development of memos and other types of formal communications, monitoring of policy and procedure documentation and purchase order management.

The incumbent should be comfortable supporting technology and may have responsibility for training and or supporting customers directly.

Additional daily activities and multi-site travel will be required.
The incumbent may be required to support activities outside of regular business hours.


QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Community College diploma specializing in Office Administration or equivalent. Postsecondary education in a computer technology or healthcare related field or equivalent in related experience
  • Minimum three years administrative experience in an administrative role, or related experience
  • Work experience in a healthcare setting would be an asset
  • Demonstrated ability to handle a large and diversified workload with rapidly changing priorities and challenging deadlines
Demonstrated commitment to continuing education

  • Experience working with or providing training related to different types of technologies
  • Evidence of effective organizational, interpersonal, communication, judgment, decisionmaking, and conflictresolution skills
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
  • Flexible, selfdirected and able to work effectively with mínimal supervision
  • Comfortable dealing with the media, community stakeholders, the public and handle complaints
  • Consistent and regular attendance required
