Reporting directly to the Director, Professional Practice and Clinical Resource Team, the Manager of Clinical Resource Team (CRT) - Allied Health Resources and Scheduling Office leads a team of allied health and staff in the scheduling office who provide support to leaders and clinical teams to meet their staffing needs.

In addition to managing the allied health staffing resource pool, the CRT Manager will provide support, guidance, and advise to the various discipline specific committees to help advance their initiatives related to standards of care and policies, professional practice, models of care, recruitment and retention strategies, and professional development.


Leadership Responsibilities:


  • Plan, coordinate and effectively manage resources (e.g. financial, human, physical space, equipment and materials) in alignment with the Hospital's strategic plan
  • Oversee the quality of care delivered by the team in collaboration with the Clinical Educators
  • Manage all aspects of employee relations including: human resource planning; recruitment, performance management; coaching/mentoring and professional development
  • Actively support the development of the Professional Practice Program through participation in work internal and external to THP
  • Support staff engagement and workforce resource planning, including retention and recruitment strategies to ensure stable workforce within the CRT
  • Lead staffing calls to ensure that all clinical areas at THP have adequate staffing support, to decrease overall risk related to patient safety
  • In collaboration with the director, design and implement initiatives that support and align with the strategic plan for the organization

Qualifications:


  • Regulated Health Professional in Ontario; in good standing
  • Baccalaureate degree required
  • Master's degree required (e.g. Health Administration, Leadership, Quality)
  • Minimum of three years of leadership experience in clinical operations, preferably in a hospital setting
  • Excellent performance and attendance record required
  • Excellent oral, written and nonverbal communication skills
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity in a complex and fastpaced environment
  • Solid understanding and experience in using quality improvement methodologies to improve care delivery, clinical efficiencies, etc
  • Proven success in managing changing and transforming workplace culture
  • Strong organizational and time management skills and proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities
  • Proven ability to implement and sustain best practices to enable the team to provide high quality and safe care to our patients
  • Ability to create and foster an inclusive environment that achieves results by valuing, supporting, and rewarding collaboration and cooperative working relationships
  • Proven ability to coach/mentor staff, role model leadership behaviours, and resilience
