Description
Duties:
- Provides overall leadership and guidance to the ELT Programs which includes ensuring program standards and procedures are met.
- Coordinates all project activities for blended inclass and online delivery including assessments, referrals, language instruction, employment preparation workshops, guest speakers, networking, work placements and follow up support.
- Liaises with the assessment centers for client intake assessment and placement.
- Conducts intake interviews with clients to determine suitability for enrollment into the program.
- Manages course waitlist on CLARS and registers clients into the program.
- Supports new clients' access to virtual meeting tools to prepare for attendance in virtual classes.
- Identifies and connects participants with mentorship and networking opportunities.
- Creates, organizes, and maintains operational files online.
- Ensures weekly and monthly ELT component deliverables are met.
- Identifies and where applicable, resolves programming concerns and issues.
- Supports the team on the use of Zoom or MS Teams
- Coordinates client's feedback surveys and assists manager in the evaluation of the program services.
- Recommends and implements outreach strategies to recruit ELT participants and to establish relevant contacts within the community.
- Assists in the recruitment of employers for mock interviews, job placements and where possible paid employment.
- Tabulates, compiles, verifies, and formulates statistical and narrative reports.
- Plans, implements, and facilitates blended inclass and online workshops.
- Assists participants in securing employment in the professional sector relevant to their past experience.
- Collects and inputs client data into iCARE, CLARS, and CIS
- Prepares letters, documents, and certificates regarding status of students.
- Conducts followups with participants upon program completion.
- Assists managers and performs other administrative duties as required.
Qualifications:
- Community college diploma or equivalent. Preference will be given to those with Employment Counselling Diploma.
- Minimum of two (2) years of employment counseling experience including job placement.
- Experience in facilitating online workshops.
- Ability to work remotely and independently using the phone and computer.
- Knowledge of Google Drive and Moodle.
- Experience using virtual meeting tools such as MS Teams and Zoom.
- Experience in facilitating online training through Learning Management System (LMS) such as Moodle.
- Ability to work in a fastpaced environment with exceptional multitasking skills.
- Strong coordination and organizational skills.
- Experience working with internationally experienced professionals and trades people.
- Experience in ESL teaching would be an asset.
- Sensitive to and aware of the social problems facing immigrants.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, good command of written and oral English.
- Car is required for travelling throughout the GTA
- Must be fully vaccinated or be exempt from vaccination on human rights grounds. COSTI reserves the right to require information establishing the validity of the exemption

Starting Salary Range:
- $50, 778 - $54, 652 per annum + benefits
