Position Overview:
To perform and evaluate in-process and final tests, inspections, and assessments on a wide range of electronic components manufactured or repaired and overhauled by the company.
What You Will Do:
- Under general supervision, an Electronic Inspector shall:
- Conduct test/inspections/assessments, evaluate results and determine acceptance or rejection status or electronic components manufactured, repaired and overhauled by the company.
- Complete inspection documentation of electronic component surveys, production work cards and final close out on electronic equipment.
- Complete reports and carry out inspection on modifications and special inspection, on electronic equipment.
- Operate a variety of test equipment used for the testing of electronic systems.
- Complete, maintain and distribute all necessary reports and documentation as required.
- Under general supervision, an Electronic Inspector may be required to:
- Perform inspection duties in various electronic shops/work centers.
- Perform inspection duties in receiving and dispatch stores.
- Perform inspection duties on Mobile Repair Parties (M.R.P.).
- Participate in Onjobtraining for progression within classification.
- Direct, assist and train individuals in the Electronic Inspector or feeder trades.
- Attending training for trade or personal development.
What You Will Bring:
- Graduate from an accredited Community College Electronics Engineering Technician Program with at least two (2) years of experience or equivalent.
- Must be proficient in carrying out inspections, functions, checks and calibration verifications by working with applicable quality and inspection instructions, engineering data, work packages and company procedures, using measuring and test equipment as necessary.
- To reach the top of this classification, the Electronics Inspector will have a minimum of two (2) years' work experience as an Electronics Inspector and have completed all Onthejobtraining performance objectives.
- Demonstrate a personal commitment to IMP Occupational Health, Safety and Environment policies.
- Continually focusing on your individual safety and the safety of others who may be affected by your work and to fully comply with all Federal Health and Safety Legislation.
- Participate in Continuous Improvement, Lean & 5S activities in your area.
- Must be eligible to meet requirements for Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP), and Secret Level II Security Clearance through PSPC
- Contract Security Program.
