Position:

Winkler Co-op is hiring for full time
CLASS 1 Driver & Fertilizer Shed Operator at Rosetown Agro (south of Plum Coulee)

What you'll do:

As Operations Support you will work in a variety of roles supporting the ag site including general maintenance and repairs on vehicles, floaters, and equipment; timely and efficient loading and delivery of fertilizer within a 250 km range; delivering chemical; helping manage fertilizer inventory and keeping the fertilizer shed in good working order; driving tender truck and/or the floater during the spring season.

This position requires the availability to work long hours during peak seasons. Mechanical experience is an asset.

Have good interpersonal skills and possess a friendly disposition.
Have good communication skills, verbal and written.
Possess a valid class 1 driver's license.
Can work outdoors in all types of weather.
Can use GPS, read maps, and navigate rural roads in Southern Manitoba.
Can perform the physical demands of the job, including extensive walking, climbing ladders, and lifting heavy objects up to 50 lbs.
Possess the knowledge and experience to perform general maintenance and repairs on vehicles and equipment.
Can complete basic paperwork and record keeping.
Can follow company policies and procedures and maintain up to date TDG, WHMIS and other required certifications.
Can adjust to the multifaceted demands of the job and perform a variety of physical duties to support the ag site including operating a forklift, helping keep the fertilizer shed in good working order and helping manage the fertilizer inventory.
