Ashley Canada is currently seeking a
Sales Associate, Sleep Expert for our
Scarborough store located at
H3-23 William Kitchen Rd.**As a Sales Associate, Sleep Expert is a designated "expert" in selling Sleep Systems and is responsible for training and coaching other Sales Team members in closing sales in the Bedding department.

As the Sales Associate, Sleep Expert, you will:

  • Assist with the store's bedding business and building the overall bedding performance withing a designated Ashley location.
  • Provide support to the Primary Sleep Expert during high traffic times and assist all guests when a shot is called from a Sales Team member.
  • Complete the Dream Destination training.
  • Demonstrate ability to execute the Dream Destination approach.
  • Provide backup support and execute all tasks when the Primary Sleep Expert is away, such as, maintaining the visual standards withing the Dream Destination, conduct training during the morning huddles, and report the shots on goal.
  • Develop and maintain a prospecting system including outbound calls, leads generated from eCommerce chats, web, telesales, appointments, and walkin traffic.
  • Successfully completes the Sleep Science training and certified as a Sleep Expert.
  • Develop and maintain product knowledge, understanding the features and benefits to help inform guest purchase decisions.
  • Meet or exceed established and agreed upon sales and productivity goals, which include sales volume, sales performance per guest, financing, and sale of product protection plans.
  • Maintain awareness of promotions.
  • Ensure stock availability when making a sale. Makes approximate delivery dates clear to each guest.
  • Ensure the general tidiness of the store and makes regular (daily) walks through the store.
  • Attend regular daily meetings.
  • Constantly improve product knowledge in leather, dining, mattresses, upholstery, and appliances (where applicable) to achieve and maintain 'expert status.'
  • Demonstrate continual learning and improvement of sales skills by actively engaging in Professional Development programs, manager coaching and online learning as outlined by store/company.
years of proven sales experience in a related environment.

  • Previous supervisory experience in a team environment.
  • Proven selling skills, including demonstrating a strong sales approach.
  • Able to learn and retain a multitude of products.
  • Ability and willingness to work as part of a sales team, assisting others in achieving team goals.
  • Able to create, design and coordinate attractive room settings are desirable.
  • Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Wellorganized, ability to follow through with tasks to completion.
  • Excellent coaching and mentoring skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of Microsoft Office products and ability to learn inhouse computer programs.
  • Must be available to work long hours standing, including days, evenings, and weekends.
  • Must be able to lift and move products up to 30 pounds without a lifting device.
  • Must be available to take and pass inhouse training programs on selling and product knowledge.
