We are searching for someone to join our team as a 3D Drafter / Designer and are specifically looking for someone who has had previous experience in this field.

You will prepare and maintains relatively complex mechanical drawings using conventional drafting and 3-dimentional techniques, as well as use a working knowledge of drafting and manufacturing systems and processes.

Essential Duties:

Must possess thorough and relevant product knowledge.
Position requires the constant and consistent exercise of intellect, judgment and ability commensurate with technical positions in similar industries or situations.
Performs relatively complex drafting tasks in preparing various drawings of intricately designed parts and assemblies/prepares several views.
Makes mathematics computations using standard formulas/calculates dimensions, allowances and technical specifications.
Makes final drawings from instruction or revisions indicating dimension of parts, quantities of materials to be used, load capacities, etc.
Recognizes needs for and performs simple computer design customization.
Initiates Engineering Notices when required and generates complete Bills of Material.
Interacts with product engineering department to determine revisions required, or the establishment of new drawing specifications.
Produce parts and assemblies in 3D and generate required 2D drawings.
Coordinate with suppliers to ensure that incoming parts are to current revisions.
Incoming inspections as required for first offs and new supplier qualification.
Work with senior designers and team of engineers.
Community college Mechanical Engineering Technology certificate or equivalent.
Good understanding of manufacturing processes.
Strong organization and communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to work with minimum of supervision.

Education:2-3 years degree/certificate in Tech/Sci field.

Contacts required as a regular part of daily duties involving work of non-controversial nature.

Suppliers and internal customers
