Superior Forklift is looking for a motivated Apprentice Technician to join our team in Regina, SK. As an Apprentice, you will be responsible for learning the technical and service-related needs of our customers.
You will also be communicating with a variety of people including, but not limited to, the Service Manager, Chargehand, Leadhand, Dispatcher, and customers.
Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesAs an Apprentice your key responsibilities will include:
Shadow and learn from the Chargehand, Leadhand, or other senior technical team members
Complete all necessary safety documents and training/orientations for customer site access and internal policy guidelines
Report all incidents and near misses immediately to the Service Manager and/or Safety Coordinator
Perform work as assigned by the Dispatcher
Diagnose and complete all repairs in a timely manner while providing a variety of repair options that best meet the customer's needs
Ensure all parts are present, correct, and in good condition before travelling to customer sites
Complete all timecards using the 3C's method
Identify any potential problems that may result in machine downtime
Follow all current warranty processes as outlined by the manufacturer
Communicate with the Dispatcher after every job, ensuring they are up to date on the status of each repair
Work closely with the Parts department to identify and order parts required, while adhering to the Parts and Service Agreement
Ensure all unused parts and cores are returned and accompanied by required paperwork within 24 hours
Required Skills & Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills, knowledge, and competencies:
High-school diploma
Provincial Heavy Duty or Automotive Journeyperson's ticket (or proven experience in a related industry)
Valid driver's license
Previous aerial platform and lift truck experience considered an asset
Strong computer skills and trouble shooting skills
Previous material handling equipment experience considered an asset

The base pay range for this role is: $23.32 to $35.20 per hour depending on experience
